Belly Play

I've never seen Ellie play on her tummy as much as she did yesterday. She really loves that ball.

It's just perfect for her baby grip and easy to bite.

I love the drool in this picture...

Get it, Ellie!

Ellie in the leaves

Yay for Fall! Last week, I headed outside with Ellie so she could get her first taste of Fall in Kentucky. She picked up leaf after leaf, and she really seemed to enjoy the crisp air.

No, she's not sitting up just yet. I have her propped up in her Bumbo seat.

Calvin played in the leaves, too.

I was being literal when I said she got her first "taste" of Fall.

That's where all those leaves were coming from.

Calvin matches the leaves.

Still after those squirrels...

Look how blue her eyes are! And how orange the tip of that leaf is!

I tried to get those busy feet on camera, but they are such a blur!

Don't worry; I had socks on her most of the time. I just took them off for a minute to take a few quick pictures.

Rolling over in the leaves!

Leaves are fun, but Ellie got a nice, longgg bath after this!

Ellie's new toy

You see this toy?

Ellie LOVES it!

I was in Babies R Us with her the other day. I kept showing her toys, but she didn't seem interested in any of them. Finally, I picked up this toy, and she immediately grabbed for it. She held it in her little hand while I finished shopping. And I had to seriously pry it out of her hand just so I could pay for it when we got to the register! It was so funny!

Waking up

Not so sure about waking up...
Happy to see Mommy and Daddy

Ready to play!

Ellie's Baby Dedication

On Sunday, our church had baby dedication. There were 13 babies dedicated in all, including Miss Ellie! A HUGE thanks goes out to our friends, Wade and Rebecca. They recorded the whole thing, AND took several pictures for us. I didn't want them to use the flash, so some of these came out a tiny bit blurry.
Proud parents

Hehe! Ellie watched Madalyn the WHOLE time.

All the babies up on stage

Brice and a sweet baby girl

Trent (Madalyn's daddy) snapped a few family photos of us after the service. Thanks, Trent!

Praise God for a wonderful church body and a sweet reminder of God's great gifts to us! We are so humbled and excited to bring up Ellie in a household that knows and fears the Lord. And it felt great for our pastor and church to pray over us as a family and for Ellie to be saved.

Isn't she so cute in her Sleep Sack?

GIG'EM AGGIES!

Yay for our baby Aggie!

Ellie scored TWO Aggie dresses in one day! My mom sent one to Ellie, and so did Malorie and Michael. What are the chances?? Luckily, they are two different sizes - one fits her now, and the other one is the next size up. I love that. It means we can dress her up in Aggie gear even longer!

Makin' Daddy proud...

Before she was born, Anne and Leon gave her some Aggie pacifiers. I've been so excited to use them, but she's still stuck on those hospital newborn pacifiers. That's why she's only holding the Aggie one in the picture. Silly girl!
Hehe you see that Aggie turtleneck??

Beautiful Baby

Kristin the BRAVE!

My crazy friend, Kristin, went SKYDIVING!!! How exhilarating! How insane!

Madalyn Came to Play!

Trent and Kristi's little girl, Madalyn, came over to play today! First on the agenda: a walk to enjoy this beautiful Fall weather.

I put Madalyn in the stroller, and I strapped Ellie to me.

Ellie tried to eat her carrier...

Stopping to admire the pretty leaves

Not sure what to think about this...

I had to turn Ellie around because she wanted to see out so badly.

Happy Madalyn!

OK I know her feet must've been freezing, but she wasn't in the mood for socks. Even so, those toes sure are cute and wiggly!

My Ellie

When we got inside, we watched Madalyn's Baby Einsteins DVD on animals. The puppets on that DVD are hysterical, by the way!

Ellie was curious about Madalyn

Hi, there!

Ellie had her baby doll

And Madalyn had her baby doll

What a busy afternoon with those busy babies!

Sweet Sunshiny Mornings

In the mornings, especially sunshiny mornings, I love to leave the front door open while Ellie plays on her playmat.

When the sunshine hits her hair just right, she looks like a redhead!

Cute, curious fingers

Speaking of redheads, Calvin LOVES looking out that glass door...

Look at that concentration!

Kicky ducky feet

Wouldn't your mornings be amazing if you woke up to pretty sunshine and that pretty baby face??!
Home is so happy

Counting my blessings...

All dressed up for church last Sunday. Ellie stayed warm but still girly in this sweet dress from the Oliphints.

Toy confusion

Sorry, Calvin. That's not your elefump!

Clean Baby!

good dog

I love how Calvin seems to "help" put Ellie down for a nap everyday. When I feed Ellie, he comes in and sits at my feet. When it's time to put her in her bed, Calvin sits right at the edge of her crib. And when I start to leave the room, he immediately hops up and runs out with me. He usually gets a few belly rubs from me, and then he trots off to his own bed for his own nap.
